Deci launches new collection DOME at prestigious trade exhibition.
Decï has announced it will be making its international debut at International Jewellery London this year with the launch of new collection DOME.
The new DOME collection, described by the designer as ‘sculptural and voluminous,’ is inspired by the art and architecture of ancient civilisations.
Decï founder and designer Dessy Tsolova drew inspiration for her designs from her cultural heritage and travels. Growing up behind the Iron curtain, her family travelled extensively within Bulgaria, visiting the remains of ancient ruins, historic monasteries and museums.
In the collection, she has mixed sterling silver and 18 carat yellow gold for the first time, using techniques such as hand-hammering and brushing to create designs that fuse the past and the present.
Each piece in the collection seeks to play on texture and colours. Small crater-like formations left by the hammers that formed the piece sit next to brushed matt precious metal; steel coloured sterling silver offsets and gently plays down the beauty of the warm yellow gold; a dash of small pave set emerald stones or irregular shaped flat diamonds bind the two spherical halves together, completing the piece.
The rings are the centre pieces of the collection, possessing sculptural characteristics defined by decï’s signature style. They display a bright array of colours, textures and shape; internally, polished planes of silver cover the byzantine inspired cross plate, which finishes off each ring.
The collection comprises rings, earrings, bracelets, necklace and pendants. All pieces are hand crafted and individually made. Wholesale prices start from £250.
