Visitors to IJL offered chance to scoop £500 jewellery or tool prize.
The British Jewellers’ Association (BJA) will run a competition at IJL in September highlighting visitors’ favourite products from the show while offering one lucky winner a chance to take home their most coveted item.
The Spot the Winner competition will encourage visitors to scour the show for their favourite jewellery design, tool, gemstone or manufacturing solution from a selection of BJA members that has a minimum retail value of £500.
The BJA has put a call out to its exhibiting members to be ready to showcase their "hottest new lines" at the show, and says the competition will help encourage visitors to circulate IJL, while highlighting BJA members’ products. To aid this process up to four stands in each area will be highlighted on the floor plan and in the IJL catalogue.
Those BJA members participating in the Spot the Winner competition will give buyers or visitors to their stand a form to complete to enter a draw to win that item. Visitors taking part in the draw will then seek out up to three other favourite items from the show.
A prize draw will take place on the last afternoon of IJL and the owner of the winning card will receive their first choice item – the winner they ‘spotted’ at the show.
Both the BJA and IJL have begun promotions for the Spot the Winner competition through their respective websites.
The BJA is set to host a seminar focused on business growth at its Vyse Street office on July 25. The half-day session will provide guests with expertise and advice from a host of prominent figures in the jewellery industry including IBB Amsterdam’s Judith Lockwood, BJA chairman Gary Williams, and Professional Jeweller editor in chief Rachael Taylor.
