F Hinds and IJL unveil High Street By Design 2016 winners

Jeweller F. Hinds and International Jewellery London have announced the four winners of its annual High Street By Design competition for 2016.

The winner in the ‘Current Jewellery Designer’ category is Indika Wijayarathna from Saudi Arabia, who impressed with her Glowing Sun earrings.

Joanna Harris from Surrey was named the winner in the ‘Student Jewellery Designer’ category with her Circles pendant.

In the Jewellery Lovers portion of the competition, which is open to the general public, 10 year-old Indira Buckley from Horwich won with the Heart Stars bracelet, while in the over 18 category Anayawa Nyambe from Lusaka, Zambia wowed with a Rose ring.

All four pieces will be displayed at the Supporting The Industry Stand – D121 during the show, with a champagne reception on Tuesday September 6 at 11am.

As can be seen from the international slant to the winners, the appeal of the competition has become global, with entries from as far as Japan right across the world to the west coast of America, and since the competition’s inception the number of entries has grown exponentially.

Following the show all four pieces will be available for sale online and also in F. Hinds’ 118 stores.
