Market trader caught with fake Gucci, Monte Carlo and Tiffany goods.
A market stallholder in Cardiff caught selling fake branded jewellery and watches had its stock seized this weekend by Trading Standards.
The Splott Market trader was selling counterfeit jewellery branded as Tiffany and Gucci, as well as 21 illegally copied Monte Carlo watches.
Trading Standards operational manager Steven Hay said that by selling fake goods the Cardiff trader put themself in a criminal chain that often leads to funding organised crime and terrorism.
The goods were seized as part of a larger Trading Stadards operation focused on Splott Market. Other traders picked up as part of the raid included those selling illegal DVDs, computer games and dangerous items such as oversized lighters.
