Luxury Italian brands have created heritage-inspired jewellery line.
Luxury shoe and leather goods brand Salvatore Ferragamo has launched its first jewellery collection, created in collaboration with Gianni Bulgari.
The collection is said to be “recognisable”, paying homage to Ferragamo’s heritage. The jewellery collection will feature the brand’s most celebrated symbols and icons, set to include the brand’s double buckle design, reinterpreting them with a modern twist.
The pieces will be crafted in silver and gold with precious and semi-precious stones.
Chairman Ferruccio Ferragamo said: “The development of a jewellery collection represents an extraordinary opportunity for us to extend and enrich our range with a product able to put the spotlight on our brand’s values of exclusivity, craftsmanship and made in Italy.”
“Our brand strategy has always been to undertake projects that have an affinity with our identity. The decision to enter the jewellery business resulted from the opportunity to work with Gianni Bulgari, one of the great names in Italian and international jewellery, a recognized authority in this sector with the know-how and ability necessary to translate our Maison’s DNA,” Ferragamo added.
The Ferragamo jewellery collection will be available from October, in a limited number of stores specially selected from the Ferragamo worldwide network. The jewellery will initially be available in Europe, the United States, Japan and Asia.
