Tour de France sponsors to be distributed by Unique Jewelry
Spanish watch brand Festina has arrived in the UK after several successful years in the European and US markets.
The brand, which originated in Switzerland in 1902, currently sells in 75 countries with more than 4.5m watch sales a year. The timepieces will now be distributed in the UK by Unique Jewelry, whose current brands include jewellery by Giorgio Martello and Drachenfels. The distributor will launch the watches at Spring Fair next month.
Collections include a range ceramic fashion watches and the ChronoBike series of sports watches inspired by bicycle components. Described as going "beyond ephemeral trends", Festina aims to appeal to "dynamic, sporty and stylist men and women who enjoy life."
The brand has long sponsored sporting events across the world, including the Tour de France and Tour de Suisse where Festina is official timekeeper. The brand name also supports the Berlin and Hamburg marathons, and is the official sponsor of football team FC Zurich.
The Festina Group also owns the Lotus and Jaguar watch brands.
