Italian brand creates new collections in custome Silverfope alloy.
Italian jewellery brand Fope has created a new line of jewellery that mixes palladium and silver to create a new kind of alloy that does not tarnish.
Dubbed Silverfope by the Italian brand, the hybrid precious metal has been specifically mixed to create jewellery that will not tarnish like pure silver jewellery.
Fope has created three collections made from Silverfope within a range called Twin, which it debuted at BaselWorld in Switzerland last month. The collections – Star, Noas and Fizzy – have a chunky, ornate, bohemian style and have been accessorised with diamonds, pearls, sapphires, onyx, rubies and lapis lazuli.
Fope’s Keith Dixon said: "This is a major development for Fope. We are moving into the prestigious silver jewellery market with a unique material which overcomes the major drawback of silver jewellery – tarnishing."
