Brand gifts Marine Master watch to 2012 hopeful Ross Davenport.

Fortis and Identity Jewellers on Derby has celebrated the opening launch of their new watch shop in the Westfield Centre Derby by presenting one of its timepiece to an Olympic hopeful.

Fortis gifted its Marine Master to the Olympic hopeful and Derbyshire swimmer Ross Davenport who is currently preparing for another attempt at Olympic glory at next year’s games.

The 27-year-old has been spending up to five hours a day in the pool as he looks to give himself the best chance of a medal at London 2012. Davenport, has previously won two Commonwealth gold medals at Melbourne in 2006, and also the East Midlands Sports personality of the year received the watch as a good luck gift for cutting the ribbon.

The Derby Westfield watch store opening is the second for Identity who first arrived in the Westfield Centre four years ago.
