Customer and designers enjoyed having the opportunity to interact with one another face-to-face at an exclusive event held at Forum Jewellers.
Vicki Smith from Vixi Jewellery & Victoria Leyshon from Little Star Jewellery were the star attractions of the Meet The Designers event at Forum Jewellers in Poole, Dorset. It was a unique opportunity to showcase their jewellery ranges and talk to guests about the inspiration behind their designs and the process of bringing their initial concepts through to production.
“At Forum, we’re very proud of the contemporary jewellery ranges we stock alongside the more traditional styles, so we’re delighted to give new and upcoming designers a platform to demonstrate their talent,” shares Forum’s director, Helen Molloy.
While trade professionals often have the opportunity to meet the designer behind a jewellery brand, for customers this is a rare event. Unsurprisingly, when the independent jewellery retailer gave its customers the chance to meet two designers, the outcome was an extremely positive one for both the designers and consumers.
“It was lovely to meet the customers and to hear the wonderful compliments about the jewellery and see it being worn by lots of different people with different styles, ” says Vicki Smith of Vixi Jewellery. “I’ve done launch events before but this was the first ever Meet The Designer and it’s been fabulous fun!”
Victoria Leyshon from Little Star Jewellery also found meeting the guests really rewarding: “For me, it was nice to see the interaction between the products and what the customers thought about them. When you sell them into a retailer, you don’t see the immediate reaction or hear the comments about what customers do and don’t like. It gave me some ideas for slightly tweaking things and also allowed me to see which pieces immediately caught people’s eye.”
During the event guests also enjoyed champagne and cupcakes while they browsed and bought and took home a Forum Jewellers goodie bag.
