London retailer pushing French brands as it prepares for strong Xmas.
London contemporary jewellery retailer Kabiri is hoping for a strong festive trading period this year with French jewellery brands leading the charge.
Kabiri owner and head buyer Nathalie Kabiri, who was named as an Aagaard Trailblazer in the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 2011, said that she expects festive sales at her stores to be up on 2010 levels.
She added that she expects the bestselling products to be from French brands that the store has recently taken on. These include Vanrycke set up by Paris-based Lise Ferreira and Ginette NY headed up by Frenchwoman Frederique Dessemon.
Kabiri is also expecting Turkish jeweller designer Gurhan to be a strong seller this Christmas period.
The stores are yet to experience any real Christmas rush, according to Kabiri. She added: “It is getting later every year. At the beginning of December we will see the rush.”
Post-Christmas Kabiri is planning to run a January sale.
