Retailer set to launch e-commerce site after 30 years in business.

Kensington jewellery retailer Manguette has undergone a major overhaul and is set to launch an e-commerce site, after more than 30 years in business.

Its owner Michelle Manguette, who founded the store in the early 1980s, said: “The refurbishment took nearly six weeks. The colour is much warmer and we have put new cabinets and stands, which make the boutique look more spacious and of course more chic.

“We are now stocking more high-end designers, and I thought it was important for the interior of the shop to reflect this. We worked with a company called Inspired Interiors London Ltd. They are certainly perfectionists so the process took a little longer than we originally expected, but it was totally worth it.”

The jeweller has yet to photograph the new interior of the store, which is located in a corner space on Gordon Place.

It will launch its e-commerce site shortly to follow the refurbishment. Manguette explained that she and her web developers are working on the layout of the site to ensure it “reflects the essence of Manguette”.

The store will feature both Manguette’s 22ct and 24ct gold and gemstone-set jewellery, as well as pieces by the other designers it works with, including Margo Morrison and Coralia Leets.
