Gecko has reported that the company opened a substantial number of new accounts with retailers after the Top Drawer Spring show.
The firm was exhibiting the Orla Kiely Charm jewellery collection to retailers which was very well received. It was the first time the brand exhibited at the show.
Desiree Pringle, creative director at Gecko noted that as well as opening new accounts it made further contacts to follow up after the show.
“This was a great show for us. We also exhibited our Fiorelli Fashion, Fred Bennett and D for Diamond brands with considerable success but Orla was undoubtedly the star of the show. We signed up for Top Drawer to meet up with a wider audience for all these collections and this is exactly what we did,” Pringle said.
Speaking on products that did particularly well received, Pringle said: “In the Orla ranges retailers seemed to particularly love the bold, coloured-enamel necklace, earring and bracelet in the ‘Daisy Chain’ range which is based on the designer’s iconic, four petal flower design. The big bold geometric bracelets and cuffs, which sit so well with the brand’s new handbag range, were top sellers for Fiorelli.”
Pringle concluded: “In D for Diamonds, the new mum-to-be designs really appealed to visitors as did the recently introduced beaded bangles and gift accessories in our Fred Bennett collection for men.”
