The Gem-A website is offline today (Monday), the final day members are permitted to vote in the charity’s council elections.

Nobody at Gem-A was available to comment on the website issue when Professional Jeweller phoned the office for information, but we were directed to the organisation’s Facebook page which states:

Dear Members, Students and Associates,

Story continues below

We are currently experiencing a technical issue in the building which has meant that many of you are unable to access the Gem-A website or E-learning areas.

Unfortunately this is an external DNS issue that is affecting anyone trying to access our servers outside the building. Our IT support team have been working hard since late last night to get all our services up and running and we hope to be able to resume normal functionality in the very near future.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused. If you have any problems or enquiries, please contact us via +44(0)207 404 3334.

The Gem-A website issue comes days after Gem-A suspended its members’ online discussion forum, GemTalk.
