Gemporia overhauls web offer to boost EU expansion

New French and German websites to accompany social media push.

Online jewellery brand Gemporia.com, owned by The Genuine Gemstone Company, has expanded its business into northern Europe by launching its website in France and Germany.

Despite shipping worldwide, this is the first time the company will serve customers in their native language without having to channel them through the UK site.

The changes are said to be a result of the businesses success, increased demand and an optimistic outlook for future growth.

The online retailer, which specialises in affordable and responsibly sourced gemstone jewellery, will now undergo a full web-overhaul as a result of the European venture.

Gemporia also has plans to integrate their ranges with Google’s Shopping Channels and develop a presence on social media, across multiple languages, to further reinforce their understanding of customer demand in European territories.

The Genuine Gemstone Company co-founder Steve Bennett, commented: “Our French and German customer base is expanding and we wanted to provide a better user experience as we continue to grow in the European market.”

He continued: “While our full range is not yet available on our French and German sites, we have tailored our stock to compliment current trends in each country. As ever, Gemporia values our customers’ opinion above everything and absolutely listens to what they want.

“We feel that the company is in a real position of strength and is more than prepared to compete in the growing European market for gemstones. We continue to use the finest gemstones in our jewellery and we are confident that the demand for our unique pieces will increase as our international presence develops.”
