Designer to appear on TV retailer to help sell Libertine collection.
Giles Deacon will launch his latest jewellery collection through QVC in the UK.
Jewels from the designer’s Libertine by Giles Deacon brand will be sold through the TV retailer from March 10.
The new jewellery range is based on Deacon’s illustrations and features design inspirations include beetles, claws, 1970s disco and bright enamel. RRPs for the 15-piece collection start at £14.
Deacon will make appearances on QVC to help sell the jewellery, which the designer has described as a departure from his earlier work and having been two years in the making.
After the initial launch on QVC the jewellery range will be rolled out through other retailers. Previously Deacon has sold his jewellery lines through stores such as H Samuel and Argos.
In an interview with Elle magazine, Deacon said: "We wanted to create something really, really recognisable as Giles jewellery as a great intro for the QVC customers. People want something very special but also something affordable and attainable and that’s what we bring with the jewellery that we do.
"I think it’s a very interesting step for QVC to take a good project on with a slightly stronger statement jewellery line than they’ve done before."
