Site claims to be most technologically-advanced system for customers.
Retailer Green + Benz and German jewellery brand Henrich & Denzel (H&D) have joined forces to launch a new website called Design Your Ring, enabling consumers to design a ring from home.
The companies have worked together to create "the most technologically-advanced, online customer configuration system on the market".
The Design Your Ring website allows the user to create their own H&D ring design from home, using nine parameters: profile, width, height, material, size and type of diamond, number and position of stones, engravings and surface finish.
The range of possible design styles covers wedding and engagement rings and sets, diamond bands, stack rings as well as partner, friendship and dress rings.
Once configured the individual designs can be saved, e-mailed or downloaded as a PDF, to then be taken to a Green + Benz store to discuss and amend the design, if required, then finalise the order.
Managing director of Green + Benz, Helen Dimmick said: “The bold, confident elegance of H&D rings has always ensured their popularity in the UK, and to create a simple but sophisticated online platform that allows these beautiful designs to be tailored for every individual person is an amazing offering.
“Working closely together we have created an individual, unique route that engages and excites the customer as they experience the very best in technology and the physical retail experience. The website sits perfectly with our increasing technological presence and partnership ethos.”
The two companies have worked together for more than 13 years. H&D chief executive, Sandro Erl said the partnership helps to cement their relations.
“The new online platform is testament to this history and like-minded, forward-thinking attitudes.
“The functionality of the website is market leading, to the point that even a 1mm change in a rings height or width will be reflected in the quoted price. In a market where new innovations are required to differentiate and stimulate, this will be an invaluable resource for both companies," he said.
