Hamilton & Inches collaborates with iconic hotel

Luxury jewellery house Hamilton & Inches celebrates its 150th festive season with The Balmoral collaboration, new campaign film and a month of Christmas sparkle in store.

Today sees the launch of The Hamilton & Inches Advent Tree at The Balmoral, a daily competition in partnership with the iconic Edinburgh hotel. The Hamilton & Inches Advent Tree will be displayed in the foyer of The Balmoral on Princes Street for the Christmas period, and will be adorned with the bespoke purple Hamilton & Inches gift boxes synonymous with the jewellery house, which first opened its doors on 28th May 1866 in Scotland’s capital.

Members of the public will be invited to follow the social media profiles of Hamilton & Inches and The Balmoral on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram each day for a teaser which will lead them to a box on the luxury jewellery house’s 150th anniversary digital timeline. Once the viewer has clicked on the timeline door corresponding to that day, they will be invited to enjoy the history of Hamilton & Inches and to share their own special stories and connections with its heritage. Each day, a lucky winner will be picked to receive a special Hamilton & Inches Advent Tree at The Balmoral purple gift box.

Gifts will include an exclusive dinner for six guests in the iconic Hamilton & Inches showroom, personally prepared and cooked by Jeff Bland, Executive Chef at The Balmoral’s Michelin starred and 4 AA Rosette restaurant, Number One; a silver hand-crafted Hamilton & Inches Andy Scott collection miniature Rook; a personalised Hamilton & Inches tumbler cup and an audience with their Master Engraver; champagne tours; hand-crafted Hamilton & Inches jewellery; cocktail tastings, bespoke gifts from partner brands; and personalised experiences at The Balmoral.

To celebrate this exciting 150th anniversary year for Hamilton & Inches, a campaign film has also been launched on the company’s website, and will be shared with the city in a digital advertising drive in the week before Christmas, running on sites along the capital’s famous Princes Street.

The showroom will be open seven days a week throughout December until it closes its doors for Christmas Eve, with a pianist, champagne and mince pies welcoming customers browsing its collection of in-house hand-crafted silverware and jewellery, as well as its exclusive ranges of fine watches. The famous Hamilton & Inches train will also be making its way round the store with festive delights for children (and sweet-toothed grown ups) to enjoy.
