Luxury department store Harrods unveiled its newly refurbished Fine Jewellery Room on May 28 2016.
The new space, which has been designed by luxury interior designers David Collins Studio, sees the redevelopment of the central counters to allow for privatised spaces. These consultation areas have been created by a network of woven metal screens, providing private, elegant spaces designed to create a more intimate salon environment for customers.
Additionally the new counter spaces have been fitted with cast bronze panels to complement the room’s feminine onyx interior, while the room also boasts a state of the art lighting system which has been designed by a specialist jewellery lighting designer.
The redesigned fixtures have been inspired by vintage display cabinets and have a sense of grandeur and luxury that is synonymous with Harrods and the Fine Jewellery Room. These reference proportions from original fixtures from Harrods with cast bronze bases, polished brass detailing and low level feature lighting.
