Jewellery retailer believes bad weather will put shoppers off.
Jewellery and gift retail chain Hiho is bracing itself for a dip in footfall caused by bad weather conditions this winter.
The retailer believes that the UK will be in for a tough time in the run up to Christmas and is expecting bad weather conditions to put shoppers off visiting the high street.
Hiho managing director Andrew Ransford said: “What we are hearing is that it is going to be tough weather and that will affect peoples’ ability to get out and shop.”
Despite the gloomy weather forecasts, Ransford said that Hiho is feeling positive about festive trading.
He said: “We believe that it will be a great Christmas and are looking forward to it with relish.”
