Hip Hop watches to make full comeback to UK market

Brand to roll out across Britain after successful trial during 2010.

Colourful watch brand Hip Hop is set to make a full comeback to the UK, after a limited but successful trial in summer of 2010 proved demand was in place for the timepieces.

The iconic watches, which were first launched in 1985 in Italy, are recognised for their colourful rubber straps and experiments with different dial colours and numerals.

The watches were one of the biggest success stories for distributor the Binda Group, who, in the 80s, sold almost two million Hip Hop watches just under four years.

Now the brand is set for a full re-launch into the UK market 25 years on, with new collections and additional case sizes.
Hip Hop has already secured several retail outlets in the UK, but will add the transparent but colourful Ghost collection with a skeleton dial, and the Swarovski-set Crystal collection to its UK offer.

The classic case sizes of 32mm and 35mm are now accompanied by a larger 40mm case better suited to gents who have been keen to pick up on the bright coloured watches trend.

Hip Hop watches are available in over 20 colour versions including yellow, orange, pale and dark red, fluorescent pink, lilac, light and navy blue, transparent, grey, black and green. They retail from £24.99.
