“Undeniably, the greatest achievement I have experienced within the last year has to be the rise of the Michael Kors jewellery category,” explains Jaimee Hollier with a smile.
Having recently stepped up to oversee both the watch and jewellery categories for the Michael Kors brand, Jaimee is right at the thick of the action; implementing strategies and management tactics to secure Fossil Group its most successful 12 months of jewellery sales ever.
The fashion watch giant has certainly asserted itself in the UK jewellery scene in recent months, with Jaimee noting the “overall sales performance is venturing into unchartered territory”. Jaimee continues: “I predict the next 12 months to be the most challenging and rewarding of my career. As a team, we are continually elevating our initiatives to establish ourselves as not only market leaders in terms of sales revenue but also in brand strategy and tactics. Every execution, from bespoke training programmes to targeted digital campaigns, must be of the highest order.”
Despite the pressure of steering Michael Kors through the UK market, Jaimee enjoys a comfortable work-life balance “in-line with the Fossil Group ethos”. She explains: “The reason I find my job so rewarding is down to the fact that I am able to take that down-time at the weekends with family and friends. When I start work again on a Monday morning I do so with a smile on my face and refreshed appreciation for the role I am in and company I work for.”
Jaimee fills her down time with plenty of globetrotting excursions, but that’s not to say she’s not happy simply reading a good book. “In an ideal world this would be taking place on a sun lounger somewhere exotic however failing this then I am happy to settle for my cosy living room.”
