Brown & Newirth has had another fantastic year of sales, thanks in part to the hard work and dedication of John Reid and Gareth Thomas – two regular faces at trade events and buyers’ meetings.

For John Reid, who joined the jewellery industry just three years ago, the last 12 months have been full of award wins, including Supplier of the Year at the UK Jewellery Awards. He notes: “Being recognised by our industry peers was validation for the hard work and commitment of everyone at Brown & Newirth over the last few years.” Gareth agrees, adding: “For me, recognition is a driver to do even more to better myself and continue to improve.”

In the next 12 months John and Gareth will focus on developing a customer-facing brand through the implementation of Brown & Newirth’s debut boutiques, while continuing to be at the forefront of product design and innovation in the bridal jewellery category. The pair will also continue to strive towards market-leading customer service and training initiatives. John explains: “At Brown & Newirth we have always favoured initiatives that bring us ever closer to our customers such as in-store training, motivational events and our ever popular workshop tours which have been integral to our success.”

Gareth adds: “I am most proud of the team that we have at Brown & Newirth, I am lucky to be involved with such a young, dynamic and driven group of people that each treat the business like it is their own and want only the best for the company and its partners.”

When he’s not working Gareth is planning his next adventure (Thailand and Indonesia have already been ticked off the list), cooking for his friends or snowboarding, while John is soaking up the sights on the ‘bonny banks of Loch Lomond’ where his boat is moored.
