The last 12 months have been full of exciting twists and turns for Beaverbrooks, including 95th anniversary celebrations, the launch of its Era collection and an OBE for chairman Mark Adlestone.
It’s also been an exciting time for Lorna Burhouse who notes: “Era has been the biggest collaborative project of my career to date and seeing the product in-store was one of my proudest moments.”
Adelle is in complete agreement, explaining: “The Beaverbrooks buying and merchandising team has achieved great success over the past 12 months, through the introduction of several new product brands and categories, as well as securing partnerships with several well-established Swiss brands and newly introduced brands into the UK market.”
The addition of an assistant buyer and brand assistant has helped to strengthen the Beaverbrooks buying and merchandising team, resulting in the launch of a high-quality and fashion-forward silver collection to meet consumer demand. In addition, 15 new watch and jewellery brands have been added to the company’s portfolio, alongside the “implementation of 20 branded shop-in-shop concepts delivered with our key partners to enhance brand exposure and sales.”
Adelle and Lorna have a solid working relationship, with Lorna explaining: “We’re constantly looking at ways to build on our success and drive the business forward to the next level. It’s a very exciting time for Beaverbrooks and the company continues to go from strength to strength — I feel very proud to be part of a company that has such a distinguished reputation for its quality, its culture and the way it operates.
In their time outside of work, Lorna is busy planning her wedding to fellow Beaverbrooks employee, Matt, while Adelle indulges her interest in walking, cycling and playing golf. She adds: “I am also very fortunate that I get to spend part of the year in our second home in Naples, Florida, where I work remotely for a few months of the year. This is made possible by the support of an incredible team and the power of technology.”
