“Most entrepreneurs don’t realise that it’s a marathon, not a sprint,” explains Kiyan Foroughi, who’s seen his business Boticca.com partner with Wolf & Badger in recent months.
He continues: “The new website and content strategy lay the groundwork for future growth now as part of the Wolf & Badger brand and omni-channel strategy. We’re always striving to improve our experience, our product range, the experience for our designers and customers and creating innovative content campaigns. Our designers will now be able to access customers in the physical world too.”
Now an advisor to the Wolf & Badger powerhouse, Kiyan brings with him years of experience, the trust of 600 independent brands and an email database of over 800,000 — impressive considering Boticca was founded just five years ago. In September 2014, Kiyan led Boticca through an extensive rebrand, adopting a completely new user interface and a partnership with DHL to handle shipping across the world.
From start-to-finish the project took just four months and resulted in a 90% year-on-year increase in conversions across the site. When he’s not immersed in the world of jewellery, Kiyan is immersed in Japan — his ultimate obsession.
He says: “I’m a huge Japanophile. I love Japanese music, culture, art and I have been learning the language at SOAS in evenings after work and weekends for the past 18 months. I am also an avid runner and basketball player.”
