Tennis fan David Azulay likes nothing more than to grab his racket and hit the court but when he’s not serving aces and returning back-hand volleys he can be found plotting UNOde50’s sales strategy on both sides of the Atlantic.
His biggest achievement during the past 12 months has been overseeing the launch of the brand’s Regent Street store, giving the company a flagship base on one of the city’s busiest shopping streets.
Considering David’s ‘quality over quantity’ approach towards business, it’s an ideal fit and one that offers it the central London presence it craves. “It is the perfect launch for UNOde50 and definitely a sign that we are here to play with the best,” he insists.
His next task is to take UNOde50 into the best stores in the country and provide retailers that are looking for that magic ingredient with an option that will enhance their portfolios and help them make money, too. “I expect to open a lot of new good accounts in the next 12 months,” he says confidently.
David cites his father as his biggest inspiration for his dedication and revolutionary ideas, while some of his favourite pastimes outside of work are often the trigger for ideas that are developed for the jewellery scene.
“I am a person inspired mainly by art and architecture,” he says. “I guess that creativity in the pieces and the perfect structure on our visuals can be affected by my personal influences and hobbies.”
