Professional Jeweller celebrates the people driving British jewellery.

A new celebration event for the British jewellery and watch industry will be born in September as the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 is launched.

The Hot 100, which is being supported by the Company of Master Jewellers as its Principal Partner, is a roll of honour for the retailers, jewellery and watch executives, established and emerging designers and businesspeople who have made an outstanding contribution to the industry this year.

The 100 leaders will join another 400 guests at a glittering party at Kensington Roof Gardens on September 7th, the third night of the International Jewellery London trade show.

The launch of the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 comes during a period when the jewellery industry is undergoing profound changes – embracing the internet and TV shopping; and increasingly transformed by affordable fashion-led watch and jewellery brands – but retaining its tradition of impeccable and loyal customer service.

“The Hot 100 is a contemporary event for an industry that is evolving at remarkable speed,” says Rob Corder, director of ITP Publishing Group, the publisher of Professional Jeweller.

The September 7th party is just part of the Hot 100 brand. Professional Jeweller is creating editorial portraits of all 100 members that capture the style and vitality of the industry’s leading lights.

These portraits will be published in a glossy commemorative Hot 100 magazine that will be launched on the night of the party and distributed to the 5000 subscribers to Professional Jeweller.

Portraits from the magazine will also be published on the Professionaljeweller.com web site, along with ‘paparazzi’ pictures from the night of the party.

“We are drawing on what the most successful brands in the British jewellery and watch industry are doing: reaching out across traditional media, the internet and events to help forge connections between the people that will drive business forward,” explained Corder.
