Hot Diamonds has announced the promotion of two employees in a bid to drive retail growth in the independents sector.
Andrew Mills has been promoted from brand manager to head of independent sales, while Makala McAuley has been bought over from customer services and appointed as brand ambassador administrator.
Head of commerce, Adryan Cresswell, explains: “Hot Diamonds have two very strong brands that are prevalent in the independents channel at the moment (Hot Diamonds and Emozioni). Both brands performed exceptionally well for our retail partners this Christmas, and now we want to structure ourselves so that we can accelerate our growth.
I am very confident indeed that Andrew Mills will be instrumental in delivering growth for the company in the independents sector. His drive, enthusiasm, knowledge of the market and strategic approach are sure to deliver excellent results. The same goes for Makala, who is very determined to drive our brand ambassador strategy forward with great energy and passion.”
Mills has used his 20 years’ experience to initiate a new sales strategy for the team and is credited with devising and implementing the ‘brand ambassador’ scheme, a new way of working with every account, and this has been the backbone of the new sales strategy. The program forms a mutual commitment to enhancing brand awareness and driving sales by practicing exemplary customer service
Mills comments: “Hot Diamonds and Emozioni are fantastic, strong selling brands, and I share our head of commerce’s vision for the future. I devised the brand ambassador scheme and evolved it into a new sales strategy to give our excellent team more structure and a sharper business focus. We have seen instant positive results and are looking to grow both brands very significantly this year.
“In order to help us achieve this we have brought Makala over from customer services to be our full time brand ambassador administrator and Makala has already proven to be an real asset to the sales team. Makala has an unrivalled enthusiasm and some really innovative ideas and will be integral in driving the independent channel forwards.”
