Houlden Group plots public-facing marketing plan

Houlden Group has unveiled its public-facing marketing plans using the Jewellers of Excellence phrase.

Houlden Group shared its marketing plan with its members last week, unveiling plans to use the ‘Jewellers of Excellence’ logo to promote the Group to the public.

An official press release explained: “With the ever-changing retail market allowing many, sometimes confusing, choices for the consumer, the Houlden Group has recognised the strength of reputation in the minds of the consumer. Houlden Group members are long-established and renowned luxury independent jewellers, so it has a developed a logo to be used as a badge of credibility, in a similar way to groups such as Leading Hotels of the World.”

The Jewellers of Excellence logo will be available to be used by Houlden Group members in a number of ways including on store fascias, with insignia at the door or inside a shop, on stationary and on member websites.

A new responsive consumer-facing website, houldenjewellers.com, will contain a member listing and search facility, and well as detailing the values shared by members of the Group.

Chief executive officer Stuart Laing said: “Our members are well-respected and long-standing jewellers, and we have provided a marketing asset in recognition of that. Our new website will reinforce their position as Jewellers of Excellence, in which the public can place their trust when making some of their biggest purchasing decisions.”

Further developments are expected later in the year.
