Jewellery buying group Houlden has unveiled the winner of its Jewellers of Excellence campaign competition in conjunction with wedding ring manufacturer Diamond by Appointment.
As part of building the consumer-facing Jewellers of Excellence campaign, the Houlden Group collaborated with Diamond by Appointment to run a social media-driven competition through the Jewellers of Excellence’s Facebook page.
Diamonds by Appointment donated a striking ‘Serene’ engagement ring worth £1,575. The platinum, three stone ring received outstanding engagement from Facebook followers and it increased the buying group’s Facebook page activity significantly.
The winner, who was picked at random, has now been unveiled as Corinna Jennings who collected her prize from independent jeweller and Houlden member Phillip Stoner the Jewellers in Manchester.
Jennings was treated to a private appointment with store manager Neil Smith, where the ring was also resized for her.
“I still can’t believe that I’ve won and I’m just thrilled to actually have an engagement ring, despite being married for 10 years,” says competition winner Jennings. “To win this ring is just an absolute dream and the fact it is so, so beautiful is just the icing on the cake. Thanks you so much for making me your winner. I can’t tell you how overjoyed I am!”
Launched last year, the Jewellers of Excellence logo and branding has been used as a badge by Houlden to promote its membership to the end-consumer, and act as a hallmark of trust within the industry.
Houlden has been working closely with members and suppliers to help build a strong profile within the industry and gain recognition as holding a mark of trust when picking the right jeweller to purchase from.
