UK’s foremost jewellery exhibition formalises friendship with Hot 100.
International Jewellery London has become a Gold Partner of the 2012 Professional Jeweller Hot 100.
The UK’s foremost jewellery exhibition joins a blue chip group of partners that this year includes The Company of Master Jewellers, Ti Sento, Tresor Paris, Clogau Gold, and Pursuit.
Professional Jeweller editor-in-chief Rachael Taylor said: “This Gold Partnership formalises a friendship that was first forged in 2010, when we launched the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 during IJL week. We are over the moon to be working with IJL, and expect this to be a partnership that blossoms and delivers even more benefits to the UK jewellery industry as we move forward together.”
IJL has chosen to align itself with the NexGems category within the Hot 100, which recognises the talents and successes of the UK’s emerging design talent.
The show’s event director Sam Willoughby said that promoting these young designers is a longstanding goal for IJL.
Willoughby added: “IJL is delighted to be supporting the Hot 100 event as a Gold Partner. We are particularly pleased to be sponsoring the Nexgems category as we have for a long time placed much importance on supporting up and coming design talent at IJL through our Bright Young Gems and KickStart initiatives. British Design is incredibly strong and it’s crucial that we develop it as much as possible.”
IJL has also agreed to create a private bar as part of the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 party where guests can gather for a more intimate conversation away from the throng of over 600 guests.
Willoughby said: “After a long and productive day at the show, suppliers and retailers should very much look forward to the exciting event that the Professional Jeweller team have planned for the Hot 100 and we are thrilled to be part of it. We will also be having an IJL Bar at the party so we look forward to seeing you there.”
The Professional Jeweller Hot 100, in association with The Company of Master Jewellers, takes place on September 4th at Freemasons’ Hall in central London. It is an invitation-only party, with tickets supplied to guests of Professional Jeweller and its partners.
