IJL opens up 11% on 2009

The new watch area will include distributors Classic Time.

Top UK show plays host to emerging and established brands.

The UK’s premier jewellery trade show International Jewellery London (IJL) opened in London today boasting 11 percent more exhibitors than the previous year.

The show features a mixture of high-end and fashion jewellery, with big-name brands including Shaun Leane, SHO Fine Jewellery, Francesca Syibylla Augusta FSA and Fei Liu. Diamond jewellery brand Hot Diamonds is also showing at the exhibition after a 10-year absence from IJL.

IJL is also a showcase for up-and-coming talent with dedicated sections – Bright Young Gems and KickStarters – to promote fresh talent.

IJL event manager Sam Willoughby said: “The event provides the opportunity to see a fantastic range of top brands and designers which attracts key buyers and retailers. The show also leads the way in terms of supporting new and emerging design talent which is essential for nurturing the industry.

In its 54th year IJL is the flagship UK jewellery event and delivers excellent opportunity for the industry to network, get inspiration – and ultimately to do successful business.”
