Finalists unveiled for PJ Awards 2017 Independent Fashion Jewellery Retailer of the Year

Professional Jeweller is delighted to announce the finalists in the Independent Fashion Jewellery Retailer of the Year (fewer than 10 stores) category of the 2017 Professional Jeweller Awards.

Retailers in this category have to be independently owned, operate ten or fewer stores, and trade mainly in fashion and lifestyle jewellery brands priced at under £1,000.

Allum & Sidaway

Just before Christmas, Allum & Sidaway launched its lavish new flagship store, which has given the independent retailer an extra boost of sparkle and service, amid its already strong credentials. The family-run jeweller has secured multiple accolades in the industry thanks to its commitment to its staff and customers, and vision to keep the Allum & Sidaway brand at the core of its business. Celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, the company continues to strives across its five stores.

Drakes Jewellers

Drakes Jewellers is the only independently run store inside the Drake Circus shopping centre in Plymouth where it is based, and it is really leading the way in showing high street chains how business should be done. Spanning over four units, with regularly changing, eye-catching window displays, Drakes works hard to go the extra mile to provide an unrivalled customer service, from hosting events, to paying attention to even the smallest of details.

Fabulous Jewellers

Hugh Rice/ Hugh Rice Luxe

Hugh Rice has been going from strength to strength, with its success particularly soaring in recent years. In order to cater to a full spectrum of customers, last year the family-run jeweller expanded its business to add a LUXE concept store, for which it now has two, and this has been greatly received and expanded its portfolio of fashion jewellery brands.

Mococo

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the family-run business is known for its creative initiatives and diamond service which makes everyone who walks through one of their seven stores feel special.
