Independent jeweller unveils consumer-focused window display

Plymouth-based independent jewellery retailer Drakes has unveiled its striking new window campaign.

To celebrate the arrival of summer, polaroids of Drakes customers’ and staff’s favourite Summer Memories can be viewed across the store’s 82ft glass frontage.

From a camping trip with friends, to a day out at the beach in Looe, the Drakes summer window display aims to capture what the season means to the people of Plymouth.

“Our Summer window display is the perfect way to celebrate customer’s memories and the beauty of this time of year,” explains Drakes marketing manager, Nikki Price. “We wanted to do something a little different this time, creating a more interactive window display for our customers to get involved with. We just love being able to engage with them and share their favourite memories. It is also fantastic to work with local businesses to bring our campaigns to life.”

New campaign encourages consumers to pop into store to find their photos.

The team have been collecting photos over the last few months on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram from their customers and are delighted with the final result. The store is now encouraging consumers to pop in to town and see if they can spot their photo in the windows.

Local designer, Mike from MyKreative who works with Drakes, comments: “We are now on our 13th window display with Drakes, running alongside other marketing projects such as branding and website design. The window displays get bigger and better with each season. They are great fun to work on and seeing the public’s reaction to the campaigns gives you the best feeling. We really wanted to create a user interaction with this window and it was great to see everyone getting involved – staff and public alike.”

Drakes Summer Memories campaign will take pride of place inside Drake Circus Shopping Centre until early September.
