Inhorgenta to host a Career Day at 2016 show

Munich jewellery and watch trade show, Inhorgenta, has announced it will be hosting a Career Day on Monday February 15.

A section of Inhorgenta will turn into a job exchange on its last day, and, for the first time in the trade show’s history, industry experts will provide young talents with competent guidance and comprehensive insights into the sector for a successful entry into professional life.

The Career Day will provide young professionals with guidance and facilitate their start into working life. The day will answer key questions such as how do I find a suitable workplace? How do I set up my own business? And, how can I prepare for a job interview?

In the seminar area in Hall C2 ‘Contemporary Design & Vision’, experts and representatives of associations will provide start-up support for young professionals and corporate representatives from the jewellery and watchmaking industry will describe how vocational training and day-to-day work is organised at their companies.

Also on the day personnel managers will give tips on how job starts can best prepare for interviews, in the form of simulated job interviews. This aims to help applicants present themselves in a professional way to a future employer and answer questions that may arise during an interview for a job in the jewellery and watch sector.

Young designers who entered professional life quite some time ago may also find an informative program on the Career Day as representatives from the Watch Jewellery Gemstone Academy Pforzheim (Uhren Schmuck Edelsteine Bildungszentrum (USE) Pforzheim) and the European Academy of Jewellery, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths of Ahlen (Europäische Akademie der Juweliere, Gold- und Silberschmiede (FBZ) Ahlen) will present their further training opportunities.

In addition the banking institute Sparkasse Pforzheim will provide information on ways of financing self-employment.
