Q: How do you think your experiences of founding your own successful company could support retailers and brands at IJL this year?
My story of entrepreneurial start-up to global business includes many tales of success through adversity. Nothing in life is easy, but the harder you try the better the reward when things go well.
Q: What is the most important bit of advice you’ve been given in your career?
The best advice I have ever received was to maintain brand identity and consistency across all channels. It’s easy to lose your core message in our omni–channel world. One person needs to remain brand custodian.
Q: What do you think are the biggest struggles for growing businesses at the moment?
People always site lack of funding support as the biggest problem, however I think a business which grows organically will have stronger foundation stones. These days anyone can become an entrepreneur – being a good one is the issue; you need to be the silver coin in the pile of coal.
Q: How have you overcome some of these struggles in your own career?
I never accept no for an answer. If there is a problem so too there must be a solution or a work around. Everything is possible if you just keep thinking and don’t give up.
