Irish jewellery brand enters US market with department store deal

Award-winning jewellery brand Chupi is set to enter the US market with a three month pop-up at iconic store Macy’s.

Chupi will be showcasing its range at the Fort Lauderdale branch of Macy’s in Florida in collaboration with London-based earring brand Violet Black Jewellery.

After recent successes in Ireland and at London Fashion Week Festival, the Chupi hopes to target seasonal buyers with its November–January pop-up.

Chupi will be showcasing a curated selection, including pieces from the brand’s signature ‘Your North Star’ collection as well as intricate pieces from the popular ‘Hawthorn Twig’ collection.

Chupi Sweetman, founder of Chupi, said: ‘‘We are incredibly excited to be bringing our Chupi pop-up to the US and making magic with an iconic store such as Macy’s.

“Pop-up events are something which we, as a business, have always found great success in and truly look forward to this one especially in the run-up to Christmas.”

Former Topshop designer Sweetman founded Chupi in 2014 and it offers delicate, hand-crafted jewellery in gold and silver inspired by “wild and natural things”. Each piece is designed, manufactured and finished in Ireland.
