Jade Jagger forges ahead with UK market push

European success with Galeries Lafayette encourages UK focus.

British jewellery designer Jade Jagger is focusing on expanding into the UK market following success across Europe with a fleet of leading fashion retailers.

Currently, the brand is stocked online at Wolf and Badger, Matches, Amazon.co.uk and Harvey Nichols, as well as in-store at Fortnum & Mason and Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge.

The brand is also stocked in Saks Fifth Avenue and Henri Bendel in New York, and in Germany, Canada, Italy, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates.

The brand is now set to make its debut into the flagship Galeries Lafayette department store in Paris, just in time for the Christmas season.

Katie Rose Whiting, a representative for the brand, told Professional Jeweller that Jade Jagger is hoping to build wholesale partnerships with UK jewellery retailers with the brand’s 18ct gold and silver gemstone collections, inspired by Jagger’s global travels.

The brand has recently launched new collections, including the Neverending range of carved emeralds, rubies and sapphires set in 18ct gold, and the Frangipani collection of silver and gold vermeil floral-inspired designs for SS15.

Following its debut in New York, the Neverending sapphire collection sold out, with the chunky stacking bangles proving to be popular designs among American customers.

Jagger told Professional Jeweller that she is confident the rising trend for self-gifting in the UK jewellery market will encourage consumers to purchase pieces for themselves rather than waiting for special occasions and key gifting seasons like Christmas and Valentine’s Day.
