Aberdeen retailer hopes to replicate success of Rolex counter.
Aberdeen jeweller Jamieson & Carry will install a Patek Philippe counter in its shop in August in a bid to reaffirm its status as “a watch destination”.
The store already has a Rolex counter, which was installed in October 2009, and Jamieson & Carry partner Christopher Carry said that the addition of the branded furniture led to an immediate uplift in sales, something he is hoping to replicate with the Rolex shop in shop.
Carry added: “The Rolex counter made a difference to our business with an uplift in sales and we hope for the same from Patek. We want to encourage people’s perception that Jamieson & Carry is a watch destination.”
Jamieson & Carry is also planning a web overhaul in the near future. At present the watch and jewellery retailer’s website is information only but the company is hoping to introduce a click and collect service that will allow its customers to reserve items online to collect in store.
