Jeremy France to retire after 40 years in the jewellery trade

After forty years in the jewellery trade, Jeremy France of Winchester-based Jeremy France Jewellers has announced plans to step back from the company and retire.

Jeremy France has always been a passionate and committed member of the jewellery trade, working hard to build Jeremy France Jewellers from a small workshop in Kent to an established, popular and award winning independent store in the beautiful city of Winchester.

France’s daughter and son have already been in the company for several years and will now take full charge.

Harriet France, who is a Business and Management graduate, will run the company, while Chris France, a full-time goldsmith with a degree in Jewellery Manufacture and Design, will take charge of the on-site workshop.

Having made both children directors, Jeremy France says he has no doubt he is leaving the company in good hands and it will continue to thrive.

Jeremy France Jewellers is no stranger to awards as it continues to go strength to strength. This year the family-run business won Independent Jewellery Retailer of the Year at the Professional Jeweller Awards, with trade peers commending Jeremy France Jewellers for its unrivalled customer service and willingness to innovate.
