Ceremony to be held in London for this first time this October.
Catherine Zoraida, Georgia Wiseman and Jane Gowans have all been shortlisted for this year’s Scottish Fashion Awards.
The event, which will be hosted this year by Laura Whitmore on October 9th at Dover House in London for the first time, recognises influential Scottish talent in the fields of fashion design, textiles, retail, fashion communication, modelling and accessories both in Scotland and around the world.
The illustrious industry event has a reputation for establishing the careers of the likes of Christopher Kane, Jonathan Saunders, Holly Fulton and Louise Gray. Nominations are judged by a panel compiled of the world’s most prominent fashion houses and style personalities.
Edinburgh College of Art graduate and Theo Fennell and Graham Stewart protégé Catherine Zoraida was nominated for her jewellery collections with Vivienne Westwood, Matthew Williamson and Lulu Guinness.
Georgia Wiseman was named one of the “brightest stars in the Scottish firmament” by The Sunday Times in 2005 and was nominated for her 2012 return to the jewellery industry with her handcrafted designs and a new website.
Contemporary designs earned Jane Gowans from Dundee a place on the list for her work with semi-precious stones, 18ct gold vermeil and silver finishes in British-produced pieces.
