Trendstop.com is set to host an evening of trend forecasting and networking for fashion industry professionals, offering jewellery retailers and buyers the chance to look ahead to next year’s key trends.
The event will focus on spring/summer 2012 to 2013, offering a Fashion Week forecast preview from Trendstops founder Jaana Jätyri and account director Ash Allibhai.
Jätyri and Allabhai will present some of the emerging trend directions for the current season, and translate their impact for 2012 and 2013. They will present two macro conceptual theme predictions for SS12, which are likely to translate into commercial fashion products for SS13.
The talks will focus on how trends are born, how Trendstop.com’s team of trend spotters find them, and how trends are analyzed and translated into mainstream fashion.
The evening – which takes place on September 8th – will also offer a chance to network with other individuals in the fashion and jewellery trades.
Jätyri said of the upcoming event: “An emerging trend might take up to two years to translate into something more commercial and mainstream. By the time a trend concept hits the high street it can look quite different – and of course much more wearable – compared with the original concept. Our live session gives the audience a chance to see how the trend forecasting process unravels.”
