Pop star said to have been "obsessed" with British brand’s rings.
British brand V Jewellery has been worn by pop star Katy Perry in her latest music video.
Art Deco-inspired rings from the Midland-based brand appear in Perry’s Unconditionally video, with the singer wearing several designs during a snow scene filmed at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire last month.
The singer wears V Jewellery’s Deco Chrysler ring, Deco Taper ring and Romance Ava ring. According to a source working on the set, Perry had a number of well-known jewellery brands gifting her with vintage pieces for the video, but instead she opted to wear a stack of V Jewellery rings. Other items of V Jewellery, including necklaces and bracelets, are also said to appear in the video.
The video marks a period of growth for the brand, which launched in April and had 50 stockists by September. Its creative director Laura Vann said: "I’m overwhelmed with how the collection has evolved in such a short space of time.
"It seems we have filled a gap in the jewellery market where luxury, high quality design and affordability meet. It’s refreshing and I think people appreciate it."
Since its launch, V Jewellery has appeared at IJL and has scooped several retail accounts in the UK, as well as online fashion site Farfetch.com.
The brand has used Instagram to highlight its jewellery collections, which are priced upwards of £45.
Vann added: “There’s such a demand for jewellery aimed at the woman who no longer wants to buy throwaway pieces but at the same time, isn’t in a position to drop £600 on a pair of earrings. When designing the collection I wanted to cater to this by offering pieces that were chic and high fashion yet had longevity, affordability and encompassed the idea of traditional jewellery."
