Shoe brand to unveil accessories line that will roll out nationwide.
Leading high street shoe brand Kurt Geiger has released a new accessories line that includes nearly 70 pieces of jewellery.
The jewellery line is part of a project called Everything But The Dress under which the brand will expand its ranges to all manner of accessories such as jewellery, scarves, gloves and bags. The brand has said the project should make it a “one-stop shop” for accessories.
Kurt Geiger creayive director Rebecca Farrar-Hockley said that the project has been two years in the making. The idea came, she said, from watching girls in Kurt Geiger stores putting outfits together during Vogue’s Fashion Night Out last year, which highlighted to the brand the importance of offering a fuller range of accessories to fashion.
The average price point of Kurt Geiger’s accessories collection is £80, but there will be a lot of pieces in the range that will be priced at less than £50. Farrar-Hockley said that the accessories line should attract younger shoppers and will help “little sisters get into the brand”.
The design of the jewellery is in line with the typically glamorous styling of Kurt Geiger’s shoes. The jewellery has gold tones with splashes of colour and has a classic glamorous look with a rock ‘n’ roll edge.
The first batch of Kurt Geiger jewellery will be unveiled at its new standalone store in Grafton Street, London, which will open this month. The jewellery will then be rolled out to Kurt Geiger’s network of stores by the end of the year.
