Lalique launches entry-level silver collection

Brand seeking new stockists for crystal jewels with RRPs from £75.

Crystal jewellery brand Lalique has today unveiled its first silver jewellery collection, created to target a new type of consumer and help to grow its independent retail presence in the UK.

The brand showcased the new collections at its standalone boutique on Conduit Street in London, with its in-house designer Quentin Obadia present to talk through the new designs. 

The SS14 range is led by the brand’s Icone collection, featuring sculpted black and clear frosted crystal in Art Deco shapes, which pay homage to the company’s design history. The range features silver cuffs and a statement crystal ring, designed with a hint of rock’n’roll edginess to appeal to a younger audience.

Lalique said it is hoping to reach a more contemporary audience with its silver jewellery lines, and wishes to show the industry how serious it is about its jewellery collections and future plans for this section of the business.

The new silver range also includes the delicate Muguet collection of Lily of the Valley-inspired stacking rings, hoop earrings and pendants, with RRPs from £75 for a silver and crystal flower ring.

Other designs in the collection include a statement multiple pink crystal cuff priced at £395 and a highly decorative gold vermeil Dragonfly necklace set with amber crystal and coral-hued glass with an RRP of £359.

Aside from the all-crystal Icone ring, all pieces in the new collection are crafted in sterling silver, with gold vermeil, coloured crystal and lacquer used throughout to highlight design details.

Lalique also revealed plans to open a dedicated jewellery boutique in Paris in the coming months to better showcase its jewellery collections and cement its plans as a serious contender in the branded jewellery category.
