The deadline to nominate for this year’s Collections of the Year is 5pm today (Oct 28).
Collections of the Year is open to all jewellery brands operating at a wholesale level in the UK, welcoming nominations for this year’s best-selling or most inspiring ranges to be part of a special December 2016 issue of the magazine.
The Collections of the Year will present 50 stunning jewellery ranges, with 10 brands and designers set to be crowned the 2016 Collections of the Year winners in their specific jewellery categories.
Four finalists and one overall winner will be announced for the following categories: Luxury Jewellery, Accessible Fine Jewellery, Fashion Jewellery, Bridal Jewellery, Silver Jewellery, Men’s Jewellery, Pearl Jewellery, Personalised Jewellery, Emerging Designers and Ethical Jewellery.
Once the 10 overall winners and 40 finalists have been decided Professional Jeweller will present the results in the December 2016 issue; showcasing imagery alongside a description of each collections’ merits.
Perfectly placed to mark the close of 2016, the Collections of the Year will celebrate the best-selling ranges in the UK, from the past 12 months. The project will take into account the opinions of knowledgeable jewellery retail buyers, brand managers and key tastemakers from the UK jewellery industry, rather than the end consumer, providing a clear guide of inspiring designs and which collections have been selling strongly in stores.
The nominations process will be open to all members of the industry, with retailers encouraged to highlight their bestselling collections of 2016 by nominating a range for each of the 10 categories. Similarly, brands and designer-makers will be able to nominate their own collections and those launched by their peers.

Once filled in, the completed form can be emailed to Professional Jeweller’s editor (firstname.lastname@example.org).
If possible please include a high res image of the collections.
The deadline for entries is Friday October 28 2016, giving all interested parties ample time to send their nominations to the team.
Entrants will be asked to nominate just one collection per category. However, it is possible to nominate the same brand or designer for multiple categories as long as they have a dedicated collection that suits the conditions of the category.
Collections that launched prior to January 1 2016 will not be considered. Collections chosen as overall winners and finalists will not necessarily be based on overall sales and as such we encourage independent designer-makers to put forward their designs.
