Blowing in the Wind gilds leaves with rose gold for autumn collection.
Blowing in the Wind will be showing its new Autumn Winter 2010 collection, made from real leaves and rose gold, at the NEC Autumn Fair.
The brand’s leaves, which are all hand picked and handcrafted, are a favourite of celebrities, with actresses such as Hilary Duff, Fergie, Eva Mendes and Jessica Alba all spotted sporting pieces.
Blowing in the Wind director Rachel Parkin said: “There’s no doubt about it, rose gold is having a fashion moment. Its warm rich and kind of retro tones are perfect for a dash of autumnal colour. Rose gold pieces are often found in antique or vintage jewellery and can be paired with yellow gold for a retro feel or with silver for a splash of colour and minimalist outlook."
The brand uses leaves from the Sugar Canadian Maple, Birch, Cottonwood, Aspen and lacy Oak trees. Finishes currently available include yellow gold, silver, brass, copper, iridescent, vintage silver.
