Jessica Rose creates global site offering five online making courses.

London Jewellery School has launched a new business project titled Jewelry From Home, offering online courses for those interested in jewellery making and design.

The project has been launched this week by London Jewellery School founder Jessica Rose, a Professional Jeweller Hot 100 2013 Business Big Shot, who has been working on Jewelry From Home for several months.

She said: "Our new website offers online jewellery making courses so that anyone, anywhere can learn to make jewellery from the kitchen table. The website was launched on Friday January 3, and will be announced to our wider mailing list later this month. We have used the US spelling [of jewellery] to appeal to a more worldwide audience."

The site currently offers five courses led by Rose, and jewellery designers and tutors including Rosie Sanders and Hayley Kruger, all priced at £19.99. The site aims to allow anyone anywhere to learn how to make jewellery, whether for fun, as a hobby or part of a career can do so in an easy and accessible way.

Once a course has been chosen, students can pay using PayPal, giving them "lifetime access" to course videos and notes, available to download to help support their learning.

Rose added: "It has been lots of hard work to get to this stage, but as you can imagine this is only the beginning, we have lots of exciting plans for Jewelry From Home going forward – all part of the world domination via jewellery making plan."
