Diamond manufacturer achieves certification following audit by STR.
Diamond cutting and polishing manufacturer L&N has been certified by the Responsibly Jewellery Council (RJC) following a successful audit.
The company has achieved certification meeting the ethical, human rights, social and environmental standards as established by the RJC’s Member Certification System.
Michael Rae, chief executive of the RJC said: “RJC congratulates L&N Diamonds on its certification. The successful verification assessment of L&N Diamonds was conducted by Alex Katz from STR, one of the independent third-party auditing firms accredited to the RJC’s Member Certification System.”
“We are very excited to have become RJC certified as this reinforces our customers’ and suppliers’ confidence in our company. As one of Israel’s leading diamond manufacturers, it is an honour and privilege to be among the first Israeli companies to be certified,” said Shirley Brandwien, project manager and business development manager at L&N.
“We hope many more Israeli companies step up to become RJC compliant as well,” she added.
Other companies to be recently certified by the RJC include French jewellery company Fred, who last weekend unveiled a collection designed with Kate Moss, and New York’s Lazare Kaplan, a diamond manufacturer.
Independent designer and retailer Harriet Kelsall has also recently been audited to become an RJC member.
