Colourful jewellery brand Lola Rose has announced the appointment of the company’s first managing director.
Nicola Carr-Mathews joins Lola Rose at a crucial time in the development of the brand which is currently expanding across multiple international sales channels and extending product categories.
As part of the evolution of the business, the appointment of Carr-Mathews will allow the founder, Nikki Gerwitz, to focus even more of her time on the creative development of the product ranges and the building of the brand.
Carr-Mathews brings a wealth of commercial knowledge and experience to the Lola Rose brand from her tenure at Karen Millen, Ilovegorgeous, Hobbs, LK Bennett and The Gap.
The managing director comments: “To be working in tandem with Nikki in such a creatively energized business with a exciting future ahead of it is very motivating and I cannot wait to get started.”
Gerwitz adds: “Nicola will be a great addition to our team as we seek to build for the future. Adding her product, commercial, merchandising and brand knowledge to the business as we seek to grow the brand together over the medium term is a significant development for Lola Rose and I am really looking forward to working closely together over the coming years.”
Alongside the appointment of Nicola, the shareholders of Lola Rose have also appointed a non executive chairman to provide support to the executive team as the brand seeks to grow and develop.
Andy Ware will provide the business with over 25 years of business experience gained from various finance, operational and advisory roles at Keyhaven Capital, Karen Millen, BDO, New Look and PwC.
