British jewellery brand London Road has reported its "best year to date", with growth of 41% in 12 months.

The brand is now sold through 60 stockists, recently opening in John Lewis stores in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Cambridge, as well as Peter George Banks in Kendal and Halfhide of Wimbledon.

Suzanne Adams, London Road creative director, said: “Despite these trying times London Road has experienced growth of 41% over the past 12 months, proving 2012 to be our best year to date.

"Much of this is due to the broad appeal of our collections which are on-trend and offer value for money. We constantly review and renew our collections, as well as adding new pieces to our best selling ranges.”

The brand has recently extended its bestselling Portobello Road line, adding new diamond-set Lattice designs to the range in yellow and white gold.

Adams added: “To help maintain this level of growth we are currently devising exciting new programmes to support our stockists as well as researching opportunities for the London Road brand in international markets."
